How you can help in this role?

  • Take clients to appointments either locally or in other locations as required.

  • Take discharging patients home.

  • Assist clients in and out of vehicles or into appointments as needed (you will receive instructions on how to do this properly).

  • Complete the requirements for using fleet vehicles including driving safely and within the law.

Impact on clients:

By volunteering in this role you will be assisting clients of Grampians Health to attend appointments that they may otherwise not be able to attend. You will also be assisting clients from other areas arriving to hospital by ambulance to get home when they have no other way.
