Volunteer Music Therapy Program Assistant - Leisure & Lifestyle Activities
Selection Criteria:
Essential:
- be reliable and friendly

- good communication skills
- understand client risk
- patient, non-judgemental and non-discriminatory.
- have an understanding of Occupational Health and Safety
Desirable:
- experience working with aged people
- a background in healthcare or experience in understanding dementia
- active interest in music & entertainment
Responsibilities & Tasks:
- be willing to undertake the checks and training required
- attend information sessions relevant to the role
- work with vulnerable persons of all abilities
- perform tasks with minimal supervision
- exercise strict confidentiality
- understand professional boundaries
- be risk averse
- be punctual
- present appropriately as you are a representative of Wimmera Health Care Group.
- negotiate times/days with the Leisure and Lifestyle Team Leader
- volunteers will sign in on each shift.
WHCG Volunteers are required to complete a three-month probation period from when they start in this position and yearly reviews.
