Connection Assistant Volunteer - Southern Cross Station
Are you an enthusiastic individual who loves being social and interacting with people? Our Connection Assistants (Buggy Driver) provide transfer services as well as assistance to travellers who are in need of support.
We are looking for volunteers who are enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable that can help us observe and understand the current needs of Melbourne.

What is involved?
- Volunteers will be placed at Southern Cross Station
- Volunteers will promote Travellers Aid services and direct people to the office for more information/personal care.
- Volunteers will provide companion service assistance to and from Flinders Street Station/ Southern Cross Station to medical appointments on an ad hoc basis.
- Volunteers will provide connection assistance in the form of wheelchair assistance, personal guidance and buggy service.
- Volunteers will be required to observe and understand the needs of the public and demonstrate how we can assist.
- This role is suitable for volunteers who don't mind wearing multiple hats and has flexible availability.
- Training and ongoing support is provided through a buddy program for all volunteers.
Please note: Volunteers must have a current Victorian drivers licence to drive the buggy.
