Key Accountabilities

Lead and support the Membership Team

• Provide guidance, coordination, and encouragement to the Membership Team to ensure the smooth running of the membership program. Foster a collaborative and positive team environment where volunteers feel supported, valued, and motivated.

Grow and diversify membership

• Develop and implement creative strategies to attract new members and broaden participation across the community. Identify opportunities to increase awareness of the membership program and encourage people who care about wildlife to become part of the organisation’s supporter community.

Enhance the member experience

• Work with the team to ensure members have a positive and meaningful experience with the organisation. Support initiatives that encourage engagement, connection, recognition, and retention so members feel valued and proud to be involved.

Continuous improvement

• Review and improve membership processes and practices in line with the National Standards for Volunteer Involvement. Identify opportunities to strengthen systems, streamline processes, and enhance the overall effectiveness of the membership program.

Monitor and report on membership data

• Track membership numbers, trends, and engagement metrics to identify opportunities for growth and improvement. Prepare a brief monthly report for the General Manager – Wildlife Corporate Services highlighting key insights and recommendations.

Respond to member feedback

• Work with the General Manager – Wildlife Corporate Services to address any member enquiries or concerns in a timely, respectful, and professional manner, ensuring positive relationships are maintained.

Maintain systems and documentation

• Ensure membership policies, procedures, and processes are documented, up to date, and easily accessible in Salesforce and shared organisational folders.

Build strong relationships

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with members, volunteers, and other key stakeholders to strengthen the organisation’s community and support its wildlife rescue mission.
