General Maintenance team member in the beautiful foothills of the Dandenong Ranges!

We are seeking a community-minded volunteer who can commit a minimum of one day per week to support general maintenance and handyman tasks at Coonara Community House. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, or has a trade background, and who takes pride in keeping shared spaces safe, welcoming, and well cared for.

By contributing your time and skills, you’ll play an important role in helping us maintain a space where people can come together, learn, and connect.

Key responsibilities include:

• Weekly cleaning and removal of cobwebs.
• Carrying out general maintenance tasks around Coonara Community House (e.g. cupboard doors, furniture and minor repairs)
• Replacing fixtures and fittings or moving furniture as required.
• Supporting fellow volunteers by lending a hand wherever needed, including occasional assistance with outdoor tasks.

Availability for a full day on either Monday or Friday is essential, as some tasks need to be completed outside Early Learning Centre operating hours. You will work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to help prioritise tasks and support the needs of the community.
