We would love to hear from anyone interested in assisting single parents, migrants, vulnerable youth, those who live in rural communities with limited transport options, jobseekers etc become safe drivers and attain their provisional licence. This is a position that can make an enormous difference to peoples lives. If you can spare even 1-2 hours per week that is enough to help a learner. Lessons can take place at any time convenient for you. Full training is provided - including road rules, communication skills, buddy driving with experienced driving instructors and mentors. Mentors are continually supported by the coordinator and periodic team gatherings and upskilling sessions occur. Learners need to have attained some driving skills before they can start on the program. Lessons take place in an automatic vehicle funded by State Growth.
