Dog Team - (own dog and handler)

Volunteers and their dog visit a school in Armadale region every week, same day and time (2 - 3 hours) and allow selected Year 2 students to read to them.

Handler and dog must pass Dog Team Assessment.

Story Dogs Mission is to make reading fun for children, so that they become confident, lifelong readers.

We are a support program and select Year 2 students read to an accredited dog and their handler. One child at a time, 20 minutes per session, four to five children per visit. Volunteer must be able to commit to one morning per week, each week of term all year. Please note this position is advertised through Armadale Volunteer Services.
