Leader - Youth Programs Townsville

As a Volunteer Leader in our Youth Programs, you’ll be part of a passionate team that creates fun, safe and inclusive spaces for young people to connect, grow, and thrive. Working closely with Senior Leaders and other volunteers, you’ll help plan and run engaging activities while building strong, respectful relationships with participants. You’ll be a role model, a friendly face, and a key part of making Vinnies Youth events a success.

What you’ll do • Support Senior Leaders in planning and delivering Youth Program events • Help organise activities, materials and set-up before events • Create a warm, welcoming environment for young participants • Build positive relationships and support young people to feel included and confident • Ensure safety and wellbeing by following youth safety procedures and risk management plans • Respond with care and respect to any behavioral challenges • Raise concerns quickly and appropriately in line with Vinnies’ child protection policies • Commit to attending regular monthly youth events • Respect and support your fellow volunteers and lead by example
