Are you someone who enjoys a good chat and would love to brighten someone’s day?
The Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS) connects volunteers with people who are socially isolated and would benefit from friendship and companionship. A boardgame, a walk, a cuppa, a friendly conversation can make a world of difference.
We are currently seeking a volunteer to visit a gentleman born 1947 in Tewantin. The recipient is a retired schoolteacher. He likes writing, computers, art, photography and has good health. He would enjoy someone to chat to and perhaps go out for a walk.
What’s involved? Visits can be as little as one hour per fortnight Days and times are flexible to suit both you and the recipient No prior experience needed – just a warm heart and a listening ear
