Events Volunteer

The Boroondara Volunteer Resource Centre is advertising this opportunity on behalf of Ashburton Community Centre.

The Ashburton Community Centre is involved in the following events:

• Ashburton Community Festival
• Ashburton A-Fair (quarterly, first Saturday of school holidays)
• Ashburton Bookfest (Saturday in July)
• International Women’s Day Event (first Friday in March)
• Other events on a case-by-case basis

An Event Volunteer could help with any of the following activities:

• Promote the Centre
• Help set up and pack down any activities
• Run a craft activitiy for families and visitors.
• Help serve Devonshire Teas
• Direct community members accessing the event
• Provide a warm friendly presence

An Event Volunteer would need to be:

• Organised
• Practical
• Patient
• Relaxed
• Flexible and happy to actively help out
