Enable young women and girls to grow into confident, self-respecting, responsible community members by volunteering as a Leader, Helper or Non Member Volunteer. You will be involved in setting and carrying out fun and creative activities in a safe environment for girls aged five - 17 years.

Females with great communication skills and a willingness to be part of a team will create a supportive environment for girls, making sure they have fun and learn life skills that develop their self-confidence and community responsibility. Program focuses on the Outdoors, Service to the community, Teamwork and Leadership Development. Part of an international organisation that was started over 110 years ago and is active in 150 countries around the world. The groups usually meet during the school term in a local hall for a few hours once a week after school. Throughout the year there will also be opportunities to assist and join in at special activities, events and camps outside the usual meeting time. A variety of volunteering opportunities are available including Non Member Volunteer, Unit Helper and Unit Leader.

Training provided for Non Member Volunteer.

Training, uniform and resources provided for those willing to become a Unit Helper or Unit Leader. Cost of membership to the organisation $160 p.a.

All Volunteers will require a Working with Children Check. Minimum age 18 years

Girl Guides has a robust COVID Safety Plan which supports volunteer, youth and family health and safety. Rules and resources are provided for volunteers and are regularly updated to align with current state government requirements.
