The Op Shop Concierge greets customers and assists them where necessary. Accepts donations from customers and assists them to bring items from their vehicle if required.

Other tasks include:

  • Monitoring stock to ensure a good variety and consistent pricing.
  • Hang and display stock as it is brought in from the donation/sorting area.
  • Ensure that clothes racks and items are displayed in a manner that optimises presentation.
  • Monitor and shelve books in appropriate sections.
  • Sweep floor and dust bric-a-brac regularly.
  • Vacuum where needed.
  • Ensure dressing rooms are kept clean, neat and tidy, returning any items to racks. * Complete tasks as per Daily Task sheet.
  • Assist in donation sorting area and serve at the service counter as required.

Skills required:

  • Customer service skills
  • Ability to interact with a diverse range of customers
  • Understanding of presentation and display of goods
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Pleasant, non-judgmental, empathetic manner
  • Ability to work as a team member and unsupervised.
  • Adhere to GCH code of conduct in dress, language and behaviour.
