MarionLIFE’s Community Meals are served on the 1st and 3rd Thursday evening of each month. The meal provides an opportunity for members of the local community to gather together in a friendly and non-judgmental atmosphere around tasty food. Everyone is welcome and people are requested to bring a gold coin donation where they can afford.

Volunteers work in a team, and the specific tasks and duties of a Front of House volunteer include:

  • Setting up & laying tables ready for the meal
  • Welcoming people at the door
  • Sitting with attendees and sharing a meal and conversation
  • Ensuring people feel welcomed and safe
  • Packing up tables & dining room after the meal

Front of House volunteers arrive from 5.00 pm and leave at approximately 8:00 pm after clean-up is done. The Front of House volunteers work in conjunction with the Kitchen volunteers to make Community Meal a relaxing, fun and safe evening out for everyone.
