Lifeline Northern Beaches is seeking volunteers to assist in category leader positions for our famous book fairs. Join a group of friendly, committed volunteers who help raise funds for Lifeline's crisis support and suicide prevention services.
The Lifeline Book Depot at 18 Roger St, Brookvale is the central location for donations of CDs and LPs as well as other goods. The CD/LP category receives many donations and provides a good source of revenue for Lifeline Northern Beaches. A vacancy amongst our volunteer ranks has arisen to manage the CD/LP category. This vacancy could be filled by one volunteer, but ideally two or three. We are seeking a person(s) who has knowledge in this category and a willingness to volunteer to fulfil the role.
CDs and Records – sorting through donations to identify collectibles, eBay, specials, general, and Lifeline Shop stock
Pricing and packing individual items and boxes against stock targets for various book fairs
Utilising available techniques to identify and price donations
Sorting unsold book fair returned stock
Wholesale CD Sales - liaising with dealers and distributors and accumulating orders to ship to various customers
Attending book fairs in the Brookvale and Forestville areas as necessary to assist with set up of CDs/LPs and to analyse sales trends and returns
