Organisation description:

The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation (MBVS) is a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation established in 1997 and incorporated in 2011. MBVS is dedicated to enhancing the health and well-being of multiple birth families during the early years of their children’s lives. The organisation primarily supports families with triplets or more, as well as twins in challenging situations, across metropolitan Melbourne.

MBVS recruits, trains, and coordinates local volunteers to provide hands-on help to families, especially during the demanding stages of caring for babies and toddlers.

Job description: MBVS is seeking passionate volunteers to assist families with twins or triplets. As a volunteer, you will provide practical support in the home, including:

  • Feeding, settling, and nappy changes.
  • Accompanying parents on outings to shops or for walks.
  • Offering a helping hand with day-to-day tasks.

This role is a rewarding way to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families managing the challenges of multiple births.

Commitment: Weekly or fortnightly shifts of 3 hours, based on availability.

Training and Support: Comprehensive training sessions provided to equip you with the skills needed for this role.
