Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation - VW

This role is advertised by Volunteer West, the volunteer resource centre of Australian Multicultural Community Services on behalf of The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support.

Organisation description: The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support Foundation (MBVS) is a highly regarded not-for-profit organisation that was established in 1997, and incorporated in 2011. We are passionate about strengthening the health and well-being of multiple birth families during the early years of their children’s lives. We predominantly provide support to families with triplets or more and those with twins in challenging situations. We currently operate in metropolitan Melbourne.

Our major service is to recruit, train and coordinate local people to help families with a multiple birth, primarily when the children are babies and toddlers. Volunteers provide hands-on help in the home to assist families with the myriad of tasks involved in caring for their children.

Job description: Do you love babies? If you do, we have the perfect volunteer role for you! The Multiple Birth Volunteer Support are looking for volunteers to support families of twins and triplets.

Your role would include helping out, primarily with feeding, settling, nappy changes, helping mum get out to the shops or for a walk and just giving mum a helping hand.

Training session will be included. 3hrs weekly shift or fortnightly if needed.
