Child Activity Support Volunteer - Cranbourne North

Children  Plan, prepare and implement activities to keep the children engaged.  Ensure that all children are safe.  Promote sharing and interaction within the group.  When possible, encourage the mother to speak English with their children.

Books/Toys  Ensure all toys are clean and in safe condition for children.  Clean all play area. Team Work  Where possible, act as a role model by communicating in English.  Attend information sessions and excursions for volunteers if possible.  Participate in In-service training and Special Days, and support Fundraising at Wellsprings.  Maintain confidentiality and privacy at all times. Other Duties  Translating where able/necessary.  Setting up room and tidying room before and after class.  Arriving early to help set up and make the room child safe.  Foster a welcoming atmosphere.
