The Brief

SisterWorks is a partner of UN Women, to deliver UN Women’ Second. Chance Education pilot project in Australia. SisterWorks provides training programs to the most vulnerable women with little English of refugee and migrant backgrounds. As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will be working with the Dandenong Hub Manager and People & Culture Officer to handle the following responsibilities:

Volunteer Engagement and Data

Ensure our people management systems are updated with all new information regarding a volunteer's journey while at SisterWorks.

Assist in the management of new volunteer advertisements and applications via Seek Volunteer.

Assist in the onboarding of new volunteers, including sending the registration email, ensuring collection of WWCC information and completion of the registration details.

Ensure all information on the “volunteer tab” and any background information regarding the volunteer is kept up to date.

Review regularly the grouping of volunteers to ensure meaningful reporting can be extracted.

Ensure the hours a volunteer contributes to SisterWorks is regularly updated and accurate.

When a volunteer leaves, assist with the offboarding of the volunteer including gathering responses to the exit survey and ensure appropriate reclassification of the groups is done.

Reporting

Prepare monthly reports which list volunteer anniversaries dates and co-ordinate the recognition certificates/emails etc in accordance with SisterWorks policy.

Collate exit survey responses on a quarterly basis for management reporting purposes.

Prepare reports as may be required from time to time.

Requirements:

Understanding of and empathy with the values and ideals of SisterWorks Inc. Excellent communication skills Good time management skills Competent computer literacy skills (we will teach you how to use relevant computer programs) Cross-cultural sensitivity and the ability to work with people from diverse cultural backgrounds Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality at all times Demonstrated flexibility in working both autonomously and within teams Being reliable to prepare reports on a timely basis Willingness to undergo and obtain a satisfactory WWCC It is essential that the volunteer is able to commit to attending the Abbotsford office on a weekly basis
