Logo for Fitzroy Scout Group (part of Scouts Victoria)

As a Scout Leader, you'll work as part of a team to organise a program of adventurous activities for young people aged 11-14 years old, including camps, weekly activities, outdoor adventures and practical learning.

Fitzroy Scout Group is fortunate to have a strong team of leaders and are an example of how a community and the Scouting movement can work together for our youth. You will be trained and supported, and through your leadership will be guiding the development of the next generation.

The Group also has a specific focus on supporting young people living in public housing to access the development opportunities of Scouting, through reducing economic barriers to participation.

You will join a diverse team of adults, including youth and parents and will find friendship and community. You could find yourself on adventurous activities including hikes, camping and orienteering. You can also complete your Scouts' Adventurous Activity training so you can deliver specialised adventurous activities to young people.

You will make the Scout Promise and be invested with a uniform and scarf as a member of the worldwide scout movement.

Scouts Victoria is a child safe organisation, and as such there is rigorous screening process, including WWC check, Police Check, reference checks and online child safety training.
