Sunday Community Dinner Leader - Volunteer path to Leadership!
This is an amazing opportunity to make an incredible contribution to people at risk of or experiencing homelessness in our community, whilst also developing your own skills in hospitality and leadership in a volunteer capacity.
The 300 Blankets, Soul Kitchen Program, provides a vital service every Sunday evening, offering a nutritious 3-course dinner and a warm, welcoming space to individuals and families who are homeless, at risk or facing food insecurity. Based at Braybrook Community Hub, it brings the local community together in a safe and respectful environment for anyone who wishes to socialise, receive a nutritious meal, have a load of washing done, or get a haircut.
While you will be giving up your time to help others in need, which in itself is highly rewarding, the fun you'll have on the night and the satisfaction you'll feel after a highly successful evening (as attested to by many of our volunteers), mean you're likely to get a whole lot more out of this role personally than you might expect!
The enthusiasm you bring:
- Someone who has, or wants Leadership experience (and/or a willingness and capacity to develop leadership skills)
- someone who has or wants to develop their communication and organisational skills
- Compassion, empathy and the ability to work with individuals with diverse needs
- A passion for people and service.
