Community Meal Delivery – Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteer Drivers & Driver Assistants Nonna’s Cucina is supported by more than 100 wonderful volunteers who generously give their time, skills and care to help prepare and deliver meals to over 600 clients every weekday.

We urgently need additional Volunteer Drivers and Driver Assistants to join our team and help keep our meal delivery service running.

Volunteer Drivers Our volunteer drivers use their own vehicles to deliver meals to clients Monday to Friday, between 11:00am and 1:30pm.

A volunteer vehicle allowance is provided to assist with the use of your own vehicle. Drivers must have a current driver’s licence and comprehensive vehicle insurance.

Driver Assistants Driver Assistants travel with our volunteer drivers and help with navigation, carrying and delivering meals to clients. This is a great way to get involved without needing to provide your own vehicle.

You don’t need to commit to every weekday. We can be flexible with your availability, and just a few hours once a week or fortnightly would be greatly appreciated.

Our volunteers provide more than just meal delivery. They are an important part of our clients’ day, offering friendly conversation, connection and assistance when needed.
