The duties of the CSW volunteer are:

Provide a friendly, empathetic, and non-judgemental service to clients experiencing hardship or personal crisis. Maintain client dignity, confidentiality, and respect at all times. Engage with people from diverse cultural, social, and economic backgrounds with compassion, professionalism, and inclusivity. Contribute to a welcoming and supportive environment that promotes community wellbeing and social inclusion. Assist individuals and families in crisis by providing emergency relief support, including food assistance, supermarket vouchers, petrol vouchers, phone assistance and other forms of financial aid. Support clients to access relevant information, resources and community services to meet their immediate and ongoing needs. Conduct client needs assessments to understand individual circumstances and identify appropriate support options. Work collaboratively with the Emergency Relief Coordinator to ensure clients with complex needs receive suitable support, referrals and follow-up services. Assist clients in navigating community services and referral pathways to access additional assistance.
