Delivered Meals Service
Advertised by South East VolunteersCommencement: • Volunteers will collect frozen meals from the Narre Warren Meals Centre (192 Centre Road, Narre Warren) and deliver them to clients on their allocated delivery round within the Casey municipality. • Meal deliveries occur on Mondays and Thursdays only, between 8:30am to 12:30pm (length of shifts depend on the size of the delivery round) • Rosters are published at the beginning of the month at the meals centre and made in accordance with the Volunteers availability. • Volunteers are reimbursed for their kilometres travelled between the meals centre and the clients homes. • Reimbursements are made at the end of each month. • Volunteers are required to report any concerns about the wellbeing of a clients health to the Coordinator Meals Services at the end of each shift. • Volunteers will engage with clients with a wide range of accessibility needs and from diverse cultures. • Volunteers are provided with an ID card and uniform.
Training and Recognition • The Community Services team provides ongoing training for Volunteers as required through our funding. • Volunteers are invited to attend 4x Volunteer Quarterly Meetings • Volunteers are invited to attend an annual Volunteer Recognition Event held during Volunteer Week in May • Volunteers are celebrated and recognised for their years of service.
