Since 1988, Cockburn Care has been helping the elderly stay independent for longer - You can help too! Join a wonderful team of volunteers and support the great service our team provide to clients.
Key Tasks
- Drive Cockburn Care clients to and from their home and community facilities in one of our modern fleet vehicles
- Report concerns regarding the welfare or safety of clients to the Coordinator.
- Monitor the working condition and cleanliness of the car including spot cleaning and reporting faults
- Provide physical support to clients within the range of personal capacity (e.g. carry bags, help to bring items into their home, and assist aged people with mobility issues)
Regular training will be provided including:
- First Aid
- Verification of Competency (VOCs) - Driving and Vehicle
- Infection Control
- Manual Handling
