Club21 is a social activity program for people with Down syndrome to develop friendships, build confidence and share social experiences with the support of a group leader and volunteers. Activities may include going out for lunch, signing karaoke, watching a show - there's something for everyone!
Volunteers help with getting on and off public transport, crossing roads, choosing menu items, handling money and providing companionship during the activity. Above all - your role is to ensure our participants have fun! Club21 runs on Friday evenings, Saturdays and Sundays for 3-4 hours.
We have 5 groups in/around Melbourne: Club21 Metro - based in the city Club21 Eastside - based in Ringwood and surrounding suburbs Club21 Teen - based in the city, a social group for teenagers with Down syndrome Club21 Fright club - a movie club, based out of our North Melbourne office Club21 Let's Get Musical - a movie club, based out of our North Melbourne office
Volunteers sign up for a minimum of 2 activities per quarter - very flexible around your schedule!
