Service Lead - New South Wales

Short Back & Sidewalks is an award-winning Australian not-for-profit providing free haircuts and meaningful connection to people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation. Every service is delivered free of charge and free of judgement.

We're looking for a Service Lead to support our New South Wales services, supporting volunteers, building relationships with community partners, and ensuring our services are safe, reliable, and welcoming.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and support our Operations and Onboarding volunteer teams across New South Wales

• Coordinate weekly services and ensure volunteers are well supported

• Build strong relationships with community service partners

• Oversee volunteer engagement, recruitment, and onboarding

• Monitor service quality, volunteer participation, and key performance measures

• Identify opportunities to strengthen and grow our services

We're looking for someone who:

• Is an organised and confident leader

• Builds positive relationships with volunteers and community partners

• Is proactive, collaborative, and solutions focused

• Shares our values of respect, inclusion, and judgement free engagement

• Has experience in volunteer coordination, community services, operations, or team leadership (desirable but not essential)
