Short Back & Sidewalks is a not-for-profit providing free haircuts and meaningful connection to people experiencing homelessness, hardship, and social isolation. Every service is delivered free of charge and free of judgement.

We're looking for a State Volunteer Coordinator to support our New South Wales services, supporting volunteers, building relationships with community partners, and ensuring our services are safe, reliable, and welcoming.

In this role, you will:

  • Support and coordinate our volunteer teams across New South Wales.

  • Help organise monthly SBSW services.

  • Welcome and support new volunteers.

  • Build relationships with our community partners.

  • Work closely with our Operations Team to ensure every service runs smoothly.

We're looking for someone who:

• Is an organised and confident leader

• Builds positive relationships with volunteers and community partners

• Is proactive, collaborative, and solutions focused

• Shares our values of respect, inclusion, and judgement free engagement

• Has experience in volunteer coordination, community services, operations, or team leadership (desirable but not essential)

This is an opportunity to support a passionate volunteer team while making a tangible difference in the lives of people experiencing hardship across New South Wales.
