ESSENTIAL SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES:

  • Passion and knowledge of growing vegetables, gardening skills
  • General knowledge of vegetable plants and seed raising
  • Willingness to follow OHSW procedures and wear personal protective equipment/clothing.
  • Able to follow directions from staff
  • Able to work unsupervised or as part of a team
  • Willing to learn and share skills.
  • Able to use initiative where required and to know the limits of their abilities
  • A pleasant, non-judgemental and empathetic manner.
  • Ability to interact appropriately with a diverse range of clients.
  • Honesty and trustworthiness.
  • Appropriate dress, language and behaviour.

Horticultural Certificate desirable but not essential. There may be some heavy lifting when using potting soil, mulch, etc.
