Event support officer needed to help sick kids in hospital

Help create moments that children in hospital will never forget.
Imagine knowing that just a few hours of your time could help hundreds of children in hospitals across Australia feel a little braver.
At Supertee, that’s exactly what happens.
Every year, thousands of children undergo surgery, cancer treatment and other serious medical procedures. Instead of wearing a traditional hospital gown, they’re given a Supertee—a specially designed medical garment that fits over IV lines, ports and monitoring equipment while transforming into a superhero costume. It helps children feel more comfortable, more confident and, most importantly, like a kid again.
But before a Supertee reaches a child, it needs to be lovingly prepared.
That’s where you come in.
About the Role
You’ll work alongside our Operations Coordinator to help deliver our fun and engaging corporate packing events from our Castle Hill warehouse, as well as occasionally assisting at offsite events across Sydney.
Our packing events bring together businesses, community groups and volunteers to prepare hundreds of Supertee care packs for children in hospital.
They’re energetic, rewarding and filled with laughter, teamwork and purpose. Volunteers often leave saying it was one of the most meaningful experiences they’ve had.
As our Event Support Officer, you’ll help create that experience.
What You’ll Be Doing
Your role may include:
• Helping with setting up and packing down our warehouse for corporate packing events.
• Preparing Supertee care packs before volunteers arrive.
• Greeting and assisting volunteer groups throughout each event.
• Helping activities run smoothly so every participant has a fantastic experience.
• Assisting with stock organisation and warehouse presentation.
• Supporting our Operations Coordinator at offsite corporate and community events.
• Helping prepare stock and care packs between events.
• Being part of a friendly team that is passionate about helping children.
About You
This role would suit someone who:
• Enjoys meeting people and having a chat.
• Likes working as part of a team.
• Is reliable and enjoys staying active.
• Takes pride in helping others.
• Wants their time to make a real difference.
No previous event experience is necessary. If you have experience in hospitality, customer service, community groups or volunteering, that’s wonderful—but it’s certainly not essential.
Why Volunteer With Supertee?
When you volunteer with Supertee, you’re joining much more than an organisation.
You’re becoming part of a community of people who believe every child deserves comfort, dignity and imagination during one of the toughest times of their life.
You’ll make new friendships, enjoy being part of a welcoming team and see first-hand how your contribution helps thousands of children in hospitals across Australia.
Every care pack prepared…
Every volunteer group you support…
Every event you help deliver…
Brings another child a little more courage when they need it most.
If you’re looking for a volunteer opportunity that is meaningful, social and genuinely rewarding, we’d love to hear from you.
