Job Club Assistant

Job Club is an opportunity for clients who need employment related assistance to work one-on-one with a volunteer or staff in areas such as:

Coach and support people around matters related to employment, education, and training at a weekly drop in Job Club
Support people to write and update resumes and cover letters, practice job interviews, search and apply for jobs, and gain an understanding of Australian workplace cultures
Assist staff by ensuring that weekly Jobs Club attendance is recorded
Refer people to attending staff member for any arising issues unrelated to employment

Job Club is every Friday from 10am until 12noon

Regular - more than 6 months

Training

The Case Workers would be available for any concerns outside the volunteers’ scope.

Time required

2 hours on Wednesday mornings - more information is available from agency.

Requirements

Covid-19 vaccination
National Police Certificate

A job club volunteer is required to: - Be willing to learn and open to working with people from different cultural backgrounds. - Adhere to the instructions provided by the program coordinator - Commit to 2 hours a week to the program; - Comply with all Cultura policies and procedures relating to the program including the Volunteer Policy, Confidentiality, Code of Conduct, Complaints / Grievances; and, - Seek the support of staff at Cultura relating to any concerns or issues they have encountered whilst volunteering.
