A Driving Mentor with the Mirrabooka Program is an initiative that provides a client extra driving practice to gain the 50 hours minimum requirement practical driving. Clients are from multicultural background who may have limited English.
A MercyCare purpose fitted vehicle is provided and located in Mirrabooka.
Volunteering within the Driver Mentor program may offer a rewarding experience through sharing tangible, real-world skills which serve to directly assist people. The role involves not only the sharing of expertise in negotiation the roads, but also the development of supportive trust relationships as you partner Learner Drivers to achieve their goals.
