Volunteering Victoria is the peak body for volunteering in Victoria. Our membership is drawn from volunteer-involving organisations (VIOs), volunteer support organisations (VSOs) and volunteers from across Victoria.

Our purpose is to advocate, advise and facilitate for an inclusive and thriving volunteering culture. We do this with and for all volunteers, communities, and organisations.

About the position

We are seeking an experienced Event Photographer to capture photos at our upcoming State Conference 2024 being held on 19 & 20 June at Pullman Melbourne on the Park. Note: as the conference is a 2 day event, the role may be split across two volunteers.

The photographer will be expected to provide their own camera and any other necessary equipment for the event.

Key responsibilities

  • Capture quality, high-resolution photos at the State Conference.

  • Engage positively with Volunteering Victoria guests and stakeholders

  • Collate photos to share with Volunteering Victoria staff for future promotional material, including website and social media use

Skills & experience required

  • Strong and demonstrable photography experience (please provide a portfolio or samples of your work in your application)

  • Proficiency using editing software to ensure high-quality imagery

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong time management skills, including the ability to adhere to deadlines

About the event

State Conference 2024 is a major event on the Volunteering Victoria calendar, held every second year and regularly attracting up to 300 participants.

  • Date: Wednesday 19 June and Thursday 20 June 2024

  • Time: 9:00am - 4:30pm on both days
