Position description: Volunteers in our Social Support program visit older people who are experiencing a lack of social connections. Activities may include:

  • Visiting someone in their home
  • Meeting up for a coffee
  • Sharing a skill or an interest
  • Chat with someone over the phone

Location: Roles available across Melbourne Metro region

Skills required:

  • Communication and conversation skills
  • An ability to build trust and rapport

Time required: 1-2 hours a week

Commitment required: Ongoing

Other comments: The role can be made suitable to people who recently migrated to Australia and people with disabilities.
