AphasiaWA Communication Groups’ Coordinator (North of the river)

- Recruit volunteers to lead groups
- Provide training to volunteers
- Support volunteers and members by attending groups periodically in order to create personal presence and relationship with all. Assist, when necessary, to problem solve any issues or conflicts in a diplomatic way. Monitor and model running a group successfully.
- Facilitate group if group lead not available
- Seek feedback from members regarding their needs and views
- Chat with interested new members/support persons to answer questions about the groups, and be a welcoming, friendly contact.
- Develop new groups when appropriate
- Provide photographs and group updates to AphasiaWA social media person
- Attend AphasiaWA monthly on-line committee meetings, and report feedback to committee regarding the groups’ activities and any issues arising.
- Liaise with Communication Groups’ Coordinator (North/South) as required.
