  • Promote Aphasia WA
  • Recruit volunteers to lead groups
  • Provide training to volunteers
  • Support volunteers and members by attending groups periodically in order to create personal presence and relationship with all. Assist, when necessary, to problem solve any issues or conflicts in a diplomatic way. Monitor and model running a group successfully.
  • Facilitate group if group lead not available
  • Seek feedback from members regarding their needs and views
  • Chat with interested new members/support persons to answer questions about the groups, and be a welcoming, friendly contact.
  • Develop new groups when appropriate
  • Provide photographs and group updates to AphasiaWA social media person
  • Attend AphasiaWA monthly on-line committee meetings, and report feedback to committee regarding the groups’ activities and any issues arising.
  • Liaise with Communication Groups’ Coordinator (North/South) as required.
