Position description:

As a Retail Shop Volunteer at Vinnies Footscray Shop, you will support the daily operations of a busy community op shop. This hands-on role includes assisting customers, sorting and preparing donated goods, organising stock and helping create a welcoming shopping environment. It is a great opportunity for anyone looking to gain practical retail experience while making a positive impact in the community.

Key tasks:

• Welcome and assist customers with enquiries and purchases
• Sort, inspect, price and prepare donated goods for sale
• Organise and replenish stock and create attractive displays
• Assist with receiving donations and back-of-house sorting
• Help maintain a clean, organised and welcoming store
• Work as part of a friendly and supportive volunteer team
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures

Time commitment:

• Minimum commitment of 5 hours per week
• Flexible shifts available, depending on your availability and the store's needs
• Ongoing volunteer opportunities throughout the year
