Little Pantry Donation Stall Volunteer

The Little Pantry, located in Westfield Woden, is an emergency relief supply of food and personal items for vulnerable people, run by Woden Community Service in partnership with other community stake holders such as local churches. Members of the community can come in once a month to access emergency food packs.

Volunteer's responsibility:

• Arrive at Little Pantry to collect donations trolley and travel to site to set up the donations table
• Offer a friendly and welcoming presence to donors and community members who stop by the table
• Securely handle cash donations, ensuring accurate counting and safeguard donations in a designated collection box
• Follow safe lifting techniques when handling heavy or bulky food items
• Use equipment such as trolleys or carts to transport donations safely
• Answer any questions about the Little Pantry program
• Pack down the table and signage at the end of shift, ensuring the area is left tidy
• Sort and organise food donations
