Film Sound Recordist with equipment

We are looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Sound Recordist / Boom Operator to join our upcoming feature film, currently heading into production.

About the Project Our film is an independent feature film focused on strong storytelling and performance. The production is well-organised, with a clear schedule in place and a collaborative team environment.

Role Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality on-set audio (dialogue and ambient sound)
• Operate boom microphone effectively during scenes
• Manage and monitor sound levels throughout filming
• Coordinate with the director and crew to ensure clean audio capture
• Handle and maintain sound equipment on set

Requirements

• Experience in location sound recording and boom operation
• Must have your own sound equipment (recorder, boom mic, lavs preferred)
• Strong understanding of audio levels and noise control
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced film set
• Good communication and teamwork skills
