Safe Pets Safe Families believe in keeping people and pets together through times of crisis and they are on the lookout for volunteers who can oversee the care of their clients and pets they provide a service to.

If you:

  • have the ability to act calmly in crisis situations
  • are a problem solver and able to think outside the box
  • have an understanding of domestic violence, mental health issues and homelessness (preferred)
  • have good record keeping skills
  • have good communication skills (verbal and written), and
  • have your own laptop they would love to hear from you!

Some responsibilities would be:

  • Check in weekly with clients and foster carers and attending to their needs. This may include a food drop, coordinating a vet appointment and volunteer transporters, sending photos to client or organising a visit
  • Attend monthly case management meetings at SPSF warehouse located in Marleston (a Monday night), (Zoom possible)
  • Ensuring the case management files are complete and maintaining these records
  • Reporting current cases to the intake and case management coordinators
  • Liaising with other NGO, government agencies and stakeholders.
