What You'll be Doing

• As a Advocare Volunteer Visitor we ask that you can visit a minimum of once per fortnight for 1 hour. Visiting with an older person keeps them connected to their community, you also get to share stories, go for a walk, play cards or maybe do a jigsaw together.

Why This Matters

• By volunteering you will be reducing the risk of social isolation and loneliness for an older person, connecting them to their community. Giving the person you are visiting something to look forward to each week, not only brightens their day but yours as well.

The Best Bit

• Advocare are here to support our volunteers through every step of the volunteering process. Seeing the change in confidence and the connections that you can make with the person you are visiting is very rewarding.

About You

• We are looking for people who want to make a difference to an older person, if you love to have a chat or are comfortable to sit with someone that might be a bit shy you are the person we are looking for.
