Garden Tool Library Volunteer

If you like the idea of supporting your community in a very practical way, we would love your help with our Garden Tool Library!
Specific Tasks and Duties:
- Manage bookings and hire agreements with community members hiring tools
- Follow the tool hire process with community members, including the required paperwork, checking identification, writing receipts and demonstrating how the tools work
- Facilitate a positive, kind, and supportive experience for the hirers and fellow volunteers: experience working with basic garden tools is desirable but not compulsory!
What you bring to the role:
- An enthusiastic and empathetic approach to the work
- The ability to relate with sensitivity to a wide range of people
- Some understanding of the impact of loneliness, isolation, and mental health struggles
- The ability to work alone and as part of a team
- The ability to maintain confidentiality according to MarionLIFE policies
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A keen sense of humour, and ability to respect values that may differ from your own
- Your most punctual, reliable, flexible self!
Other Requirements:
- A current DHS Working with Children Check. If you do not have this, we can support you to gain this
