Group Volunteering
Advertised by Peel Volunteer Resource Centre Inc.
As group volunteers, participants will assist with a variety of general garden duties. These may include tasks such as weeding, planting new seedlings, composting, preparing soil, watering garden beds and carrying out other activities as directed by the garden coordinators. No prior gardening experience is necessary, just a willingness to get involved, work as a team, and help our garden community flourish.
Volunteering at Lakelands Community Gardens offers groups the chance to make a meaningful contribution to the local community while enjoying a rewarding and hands‑on experience together. It provides a great opportunity to strengthen teamwork, learn about sustainable gardening practices and be part of a space that brings people together.
We welcome corporate teams, school groups, community organisations, social groups and any other groups who would like to volunteer. If your group is interested we would love to hear from you and help organise a volunteering experience that suits your needs.
