The Macular Disease Foundation of Australia (MDFA) is the national peak body representing the macular disease community. MDFA has been working for the approximately 1.9 million Australians living with macular disease, their families and carers for more than 20 years.

The key activities for this role are:

  • Presenting face to face and online education sessions in your local area for your local community
  • Keeping a record of attendee information and feedback
  • Supporting attendees to access educational resources
  • Other administration tasks associated with the delivery of the role

This role is an unpaid position that contributes to making a difference in the lives of those living with macular disease.

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Be able to commit to a minimum of 1 education session a month, dependent on organizational and community need
  • Have excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of individuals
  • Have a willingness to learn new processes
  • Have strong attention to detail for accurate record keeping
  • Have previous experience in group facilitation, public speaking, and/or delivery of communication education is desirable

Applicants must be willing to complete a National Police Check (or provide evidence of one completed within the last 6 months).
