A Great Pathway into Community Services

If you're studying Community Services, Social Work or a related field, this role is a fantastic opportunity to gain firsthand experience in a community support setting and learn from experienced Community Support Workers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome visitors and assist with general enquiries
  • Answer and direct telephone calls
  • Take messages for staff members
  • Assist with filing, photocopying and other administrative duties
  • Help maintain service waiting lists and records
  • Support the reception area to remain organised and welcoming
  • Assist with simple in-house tasks as required

Skills and Experience:

The ideal volunteer will:

  • Enjoy interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Have a friendly and approachable manner
  • Be organised and able to manage multiple tasks
  • Remain calm in busy or occasionally challenging situations
  • Have basic administrative and computer skills
  • Be reliable and committed to their volunteer roster
