Easy Care Gardening is a not-for-profit organisation. We are funded by the Federal Government to provide an aged care service. We look after the gardens of people who are older across 4 local government areas in the northern part of greater Sydney.

While we have some paid staff, most of our gardening is delivered by our wonderful volunteers. We are always looking for more volunteers so that look after more gardens.

Volunteering with Easy Care Gardening is an enjoyable and worthwhile thing to do.

• You will work in a friendly team, and we have various social events throughout the year.

• We provide all the tools and training.

• We make all the arrangements with the clients. All you have to do is turn up at a garden ready to work.

• We have gardens available 5 1/2 days per week. A garden shift is 3 hours. You can decide when and how often you garden. We are very flexible - you can fit in volunteering with us around your other commitments.

Easy Care Gardening has been operating for 35 years and during this time we have built a reputation for delivering a friendly service. The morning and afternoon teas are an opportunity for volunteers to get to know each other and the clients. Many of our clients are socially isolated, and morning or afternoon tea with our friendly volunteers is a highlight for them.

All of our staff and volunteers are required to have a clear police check. We can arrange this for you at our expense. There are a few other forms to fill out, and we can help you with that too. We can meet in person, or the signup process can be completed online.
