The role of the Youth Program Mentor is to support PCYC’s youth program’s participants by acting as a positive role model to help young people make better life choices and to create a positive and supportive relationship between mentees and the community.

Hours and days are flexible as there are programs running throughout the week

Requirements

Medical Check
National Police Certificate
Working with Children Check
Working with Vulnerable People Check

Program planning and administrative support. • Support coordinator in running sessions. • Mentor youth participants as planned by coordinator .Ability to build rapport and engage with a diverse range of young people. • Friendly and outgoing personality. • Ability to problem solve. • Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously. • Experience working in culturally diverse environments. • Record volunteer hours on Volunteer Management System. • Complete check list and other record (if applicable)
