Thrift Shop Volunteer – Yesterdays Northcote

Love op shopping, fashion, sustainability or meeting new people? Join the friendly volunteer team at Yesterdays Northcote, a thrift shop supporting families living with brain injury and developmental challenges through The Developing Foundation Inc.
We’re looking for warm, reliable volunteers to help create a welcoming and enjoyable shopping experience for our customers. Whether you’re looking to gain retail experience, build confidence, stay socially connected, support a meaningful cause, or simply spend a few hours each week in a positive environment, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll be doing:
- Serving customers and processing sales through the register/POS system
- Pricing and displaying donated items
- Creating attractive shop displays and merchandising
- Sorting and preparing donations
- Helping keep the store organised and inviting
No experience is necessary with full training and ongoing support are provided.

We ask volunteers to commit to one regular weekly shift of approximately 4 hours.
Our Northcote store is conveniently located on High Street, with the 86 tram stopping nearby and Northcote Station just a short walk away.
