Maintenance Team Volunteer
Albany’s Historic Whaling Station, home to Australia’s last whaling company, is now a heritage site and educational tourism attraction, offering a fascinating insight into Albany’s past.
They are looking for volunteers to join their Maintenance Team, assisting with painting, repairs, and general upkeep to help preserve this important site. Tasks may include restoration work, maintaining visitor facilities, and grounds care, all while working alongside their experienced Maintenance Team.
They are currently seeking someone to assist with painting, but they are open to all skill set enquiries, with tasks that can be aligned to your personal skills and interests.
No experience is required—just a willingness to get involved, work with tools, and follow safety guidelines. Volunteers gain hands-on experience in site maintenance, contribute to heritage conservation, and enjoy working in a unique coastal setting. A site induction and training are provided, and all skill levels are welcome. A travel/food reimbursement is available per shift.
