**If you’re interested in connecting with older people who are socially isolated, we’d love to hear from you! We’re looking for Volunteers who can support older people with their goals around staying independent, healthy and connected to their community.

We require a Chinese speaking volunteer to assist, taking people out to places of interest/lunch. If you are able to assist people on our 12-seater bus, enjoy going on outings and have a good knowledge of the local area and places of interest, this program operates fortnightly on Fridays from 8.45-3.30pm.

We offer opportunities in skill and knowledge development, as well as ongoing support and mentoring. As a Uniting Volunteer you’ll be able to access our online learning library with over 200 courses on offer. Good communications skills and the ability to work independently are a must. Having a driver’s licence/access to own vehicle is highly desired but not essential. We value diversity in lived experience, language, skills and abilities.

If you are interested in more information about Volunteering in our Social Support Program, please apply.
