The environment centres are looking for some keen volunteers to support Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre in giving some extra care to the Tulla-yugaipa dhagun track. Tulla-yugaipa dhagun meaning 'place of useful plants', is a short trail showcasing the useful native plants and is used as an interpretive tool by the trail guides. This trail is an integral part of the centre's visitor experience and is the showcase of the most popular useful plants guided walks. This is the perfect opportunity for people who enjoy being outdoors, meeting new people and learning about nature.

When and where: Meet gardening group leader at Boondall Wetlands Environment Centre on Saturday Aug 15, 8:45 - 11:30 am

Activities on the day Working as a team to do some guided weed removal, watering the garden, cleaning the signs, reporting any issues of maintenance, learning more about the wetlands and the plants that call Boondall home.

Safety for the day:

The environment centres provide, hats, insect repellent, sunscreen, cool water, some morning tea and a place to rest when needed, and a supportive team leader.

We need you to bring a drink bottle, sun-protective clothing (long sleeves, hat, etc.), sturdy closed in shoes, a snack (no food on site) and an eagerness to learn. Please be aware this working bee is outdoors working in the sun with exposure to the elements. Gardening also involves physical tasks such as kneeling, carrying tools.
