Can you talk gardening, tennis and learn from the life experience of a life well lived? We have a wonderful older lady needing a visitor in Mansfield, make a difference in your community by visiting a lady who love some company. Bring a smile to reduce isolation and loneliness.

Do you love to spend time with older people? To hear their stories and share a cuppa? We are searching for friendly, engaging Volunteer Visitors that are 18 years of age or older. This position requires patience, compassion and reliability.

Volunteer Visitors are required to visit their older friend on a fortnightly basis (weekly where possible), on an ongoing basis doing an activity that you both enjoy. This can be decided on mutual interests and mobility levels. Activities may include sharing a cuppa and a chat, reading or taking a short walk.

Volunteering can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help older people to feel less isolated. Your visits will bring great joy to the client you are matched with.

All volunteers are required to undergo a National Police Check and can expect ongoing support and training from their ACVVS Program Coordinator.
