National Trust Volunteers - Rippon Lea Estate

National Trust of Australia (Victoria)

Volunteers play a vital role at the National Trust of Australia (Victoria). The National Trust relies on the support of talented, hard-working and committed volunteers to support the operations and maintenance of properties and events across the state.

The Trust is in regular need of committed volunteers to generously give their time, expertise and experience to assist with maintaining its many activities.

A variety of roles are available at Rippon Lea Estate.

  • House tour guides

  • Garden tour guides - no botanical knowledge required, as it's a social history tour

  • Gardening volunteers, required every Wednesday to work beside our full-time gardeners

  • Event volunteers, from time to time

  • Ticketing volunteers who work in the ticket box helping visitors purchase tickets and providing general information

  • House dusting volunteers

All National Trust volunteers are required to have a Police Check and volunteers involved in children's programs are required to have a Working With Children Check. Volunteers 18 and over may apply.

Orientation and training is provided and a regular commitment of at least half a day a fortnight, over a 12 month period, is generally required.

Help the National Trust of Australia (Victoria) to inspire the community to appreciate, conserve and celebrate its natural, cultural and Indigenous heritage!
